I don’t like to wear the same “fancy” dress more than once, so when I need to dress up for a special occasion, I head to a consignment store where I can find a beautiful dress for less than half the original cost. After the affair, I head back to the consignment store and put the dress on consignment myself. When it sells, I recoup about half my money. So in the end I pay a small fraction of what I would have paid for a new dress.
