With all of the best intentions I often don’t have a re-usable grocery bay when I need one. I use them once, take them into the house with the groceries and then forget to bring them back to the car. I was about to buy more reusable bags when I came up with a great idea. Continue reading
No need to spend money on a bench press. Just rescue an old broomstick from the trash, cut off the bristles, and tie weighted socks to both ends. Or if you have any old iron pipes lying around cut them to the desired length and use without weights.
I’ve used this solution for eliminating fruit flies for several years now. It gets rid of them in a couple of hours. Fill a shallow, large bowl or pan no more than half full with soapy water (squeeze your soapy sponge into the water). Fill a smaller container with a sweet vinegar or sweet wine (dump leftovers from the glasses from dinner). Set this container in the center of the larger container and place them both in the area where fruit flies are congregating.
The flies gravitate to the sweet vinegar or wine and drown in one of the two containers.
