Soap Sliver Hand Wash
Recycle soap bar slivers by tossing them into a pump bottle to keep beside your kitchen or bathroom sink. It doesn’t matter if the bottle is empty or has soap in it. Add water and shake or just let it sit for a few hours to produce new hand soap or extend your existing hand soap.
New Life for Deli Containers
The plastic bags that deli luncheon meats and cheeses come in and the hard plastic containers that other deli items come in can be re-used to pack your lunch the next day.
Note: since the plastic baggies contained perishable products take care to re-use them immediately (don’t store them outside of the fridge) and toss them after re-using one time. You can however wash the hard plastic containers to re-use them more than once.
Baking Pans Restored
Pans that have lost, or never had, a Teflon coating can be sprayed with a Teflon spray purchased in a hardware or kitchen gadget store.
