Free Trash Bags

I’ve never needed to purchase a trash bag for my car or wastebasket liners for my home. While I try not to acquire extra packaging sometimes it’s just necessary. I appease my conscious by reusing these bags as much as possible.

Deli & Other Food Bags

Bags from the deli that are used to package purchases, bread bags, hot dog & hamburger bun bags … I reuse them all at least once for food storage, then in my car for trash. I empty them out into a trash can when cleaning my car so I get quite a few uses out of them before they develop a hole or get too “icky” to hold onto any longer.

Newspaper Bags

The small thin ones work great for my car. The larger ones I use to line wastebaskets in my bathrooms, office and bedrooms.

Magazine Bags

Why a magazine needs to be mailed inside a plastic bag is beyond me but at least I can reuse them. I carefully cut a strip from the top of the bag to remove the magazine and then off they go to my car as a trash bag.

About Kat

I started this blog to share with you all the results of years of turning trash into treasures. Hopefully I'll spark some new creative thoughts and if that happens I hope that you'll share your discoveries and together we’ll build a blog that will singlehandedly reduce global warming and save the world! Okay, maybe that’s a grand goal but we should be able to at least downsize our own trash output.
