Bookmark from Book Spine

If you have or find a book that has a beautiful spine but you don’t want the book itself you have the makings for a beautiful bookmark. Using an Exacto knife carefully cut the spine away from the cover. Punch a hole in the top of the spine about a quarter inch from the top. Protect the bookmark by applying several coats of CLEAR PROTECTANT on both sides. When dry, tie a tassel through the hole and you have a beautiful new bookmark.

About Kat

I started this blog to share with you all the results of years of turning trash into treasures. Hopefully I'll spark some new creative thoughts and if that happens I hope that you'll share your discoveries and together we’ll build a blog that will singlehandedly reduce global warming and save the world! Okay, maybe that’s a grand goal but we should be able to at least downsize our own trash output.
